Sleep as Medicine
Sleep is one of the most powerful tools we have for supporting our health, yet many of us aren’t getting enough of it. As the days get longer and the nights get warmer, quality rest can feel harder to come by. This session will be run by the MN–S Ministry of Health, Mental Health & Addictions. We will explore the science behind sleep, how disruptions to our sleep patterns affect physical and mental wellbeing, and practical strategies for improving sleep quality.
MN–S presents the Health Tea and Talks monthly in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Health Canada. Each month a new topic is discussed with guest speakers who are experts in their fields. The talks are an opportunity to ask important questions on topics like vaccines, nutrition, mental wellness, addiction, substance abuse, diabetes, cancer, tobacco, and vaping. Each culturally sensitive session will be hosted on Zoom and live-streamed on MN–S YouTube.
