Let's Play Program

Program applications for the Let’s Play Program are now closed. Stay tuned for program relaunch to be scheduled within the following months.

Maatawaytaak (Let’s Play) Program provides support for Métis families to access extracurricular and cultural activities. Qualified families with children between birth and 12 years old are eligible for reimbursement for sports fees and equipment, and culturally relevant activities.

Applications for this year’s program are open from April 14, 2025 – March, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The child must be birth to 12 years old. The child will become ineligible the month following their 13th birthday.
  • The child must be an MN–S citizen or be in the process of acquiring citizenship and must not have applied for First Nation status. Citizenship Information
  • The child must reside within Saskatchewan.

Payment Process

Whenever possible, payments will be made directly to the sport or activity organization. If direct payment to the vendor is not available, eligible families may receive reimbursement upon providing valid proof of payment, such as a receipt or enrollment confirmation.

Please Note: Recipients of the subsidy may be subject to applicable taxes on the amounts received. This may affect Income Supplement programs. T4As will be issued to the parent/guardian listed on the application.
