Values at Risk:
Each year, values are damaged and/or destroyed by wildfire. Values at Risk (VAR) are anything on the land that could potentially be damaged by a wildfire. Examples of VAR are cabins and docks. You only need to register if your values are within provincial forests or within 4.5km of a provincial forest boundary. To register your VAR you can fill out the online form or call 1-800-667-9660 during business hours.
