MN-S’s Ministry of Housing and Homelessness is calling on all individuals who have experience with homelessness programs, an interest in homelessness issues, and individuals with lived experience in homelessness to apply to sit on the Saskatchewan Homelessness Advisory Board (SHAB).
MN-S serves as the Community Entity (CE) for The Reaching Home: Non-Designated Indigenous Homelessness funding stream and The Reaching Home: Rural and Remote Homelessness Funding Stream which provides funding to communities and organizations for projects and programming that reduce and mitigate homelessness across Saskatchewan.
As a member of the SHAB you will engage with stakeholders at a community level to help implement homelessness projects and programs and assist with reviewing, and recommending community proposals for funding under Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities Canada’s Homelessness Reaching Home funding program among additional responsibilities. Selected board members are asked to commit to participating on the Advisory Board for a term of two or three years.
