You’ve heard the adage ‘Every Child Matters’. On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) calls for the Government of Canada to ensure, as Section 35 rights holders, Métis children have immediate equitable access to supports through existing federal Child First Initiative frameworks. The MN–S Government also wants a commitment to work with Canada to develop and implement a Métis-Distinct Child First Initiative.
