May 1, 2024 – Saskatoon, SK – On Friday, April 19, the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section and Public Safety Unit issued a media release indicating new evidence in the 2020 disappearance of then 22-year-old Mackenzie Lee Trottier, has led them to begin a search of the Saskatoon landfill that will commence this week, May 1, and last for a total 33 days.
