Finance at Fall MNLA

MNLA Delegates and Elders will receive their travel expense, if applicable, and attendance honoraria. You can choose to receive your payment by direct deposit (EFT) or by cheques.

EFT is the easiest and most secure way to receive your payment. If you choose EFT, we will deposit your mileage, per diem, and incidental expenses before MNLA so you have the funds you need for your trip.

Please submit the EFT Enrollment Form, attached to this package, to legislativeservices@mns.ca by November 9th. Honoraria willbe paid via EFT during the following week of the MNLA.

Overpayments for per diem or incidental expenses resulting from a missed session day will be tracked and deducted from future payments. If you choose to be paid by cheque, your travel expenses and honoraria will be included in one cheque. Cheques can be picked up on Sunday, November 22, after the MNLA session ends.

Pickup location: MN-S tables by the exit.

Any cheque not picked up on Sunday will be mailed to the address on file.

Roslyn Smith will help all Elders and helpers with their payments. The same EFT process applies, and Roslyn will distribute cheques to Elders directly so they do not have to wait in line after the session. Contact Roslyn at (639) 994-0328.

Events and Exhibitors

The Mini Métis Market and MN–S departmental booths are available throughout the weekend, and there is a Saturday evening reception open to all.

When is the market?

The Mini Métis Market will be held on Saturday November 21st and Sunday November 22nd.
There will be a variety of vendors in Hall A.

What are departmental booths?

Departmental booths provide information on the programming and opportunities that MN–S offers to citizens. Departmental booths will be available to visit on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st in Hall A.

Is there a kitchen party this MNLA?

Yes! Please join us in Hall A during the evening of Saturday, November 21 for a dinner and traditional Métis entertainment.

As members of Métis Nation–Saskatchewan, we know this event is more than a meeting; it’s a living tradition. Twice a year, we gather, reconnect with loved ones, celebrate our distinct culture, and honour the success and progress of our Nation.

This democratic process is the fundamental engine of our Métis government and paves our future as the Métis people of Saskatchewan.

We hope this guide helps you feel ready for the Fall MNLA. We look forward to welcoming you and seeing you there!
