Citizen engagement is about how Métis citizens connect with their government – and how your government listens, learns, and responds.

At Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S), citizen engagement means building strong, respectful relationships rooted in Métis culture, identity, and community. We work to make government clear, open, and easy to understand, so citizens feel informed, heard, and proud to be connected.

Our Approach

We believe good engagement is a two‑way conversation. It’s not just about sharing information – it’s about listening and learning together. We work across the province to ensure engagement is inclusive and meaningful – whether online, in community, or at MN–S events. We focus on:

• Making information easy to find and understand
• Creating welcoming spaces for participation
• Respecting Métis culture, values, and ways of knowing
• Building long‑term relationships, not one‑time interactions

Our goal is to help citizens feel confident engaging with their government and see themselves reflected in the work we do.

Current Engagements

Métis–Nation Saskatchewan works hard to provide exceptional programs and services to Métis citizens in Saskatchewan. To help us continue that work, we want to hear from you. By participating, you will be entered to win one of three $250 Visa gift cards! 

Beginning on April 29, 2026, MN–S (in partnership with Insightrix Research, a Saskatchewan-based market research firm) is administering a survey to find out what topics are important to you and how you’d like to receive information or provide feedback on those topics. 

Please be assured that the email from Insightrix Research and the survey link it contains are legitimate, and the information that we gather from this survey will be kept confidential by MN–S.
